Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is a growing global health concern, with India bearing a significant share of the burden. Among oral antidiabetic agents, metformin remains the first-line therapy due to its efficacy in lowering blood glucose, primarily by inhibiting hepatic gluconeogenesis and improving insulin sensitivity (Młynarska, n.d.) [1].
