    Aims and Scope

    The journal focuses on scientific aspects and welcomes papers on all aspects of HIV for Clinical and Scientific Research with special emphasis on:


    • Epidemiology of HIV spread and resistance
    • Diagnostics, early detection and monitoring
    • Identification of viral targets
    • Development of agents with novel mechanisms of action
    • Optimal clinical use of existing antivirals, including combination therapies
    • Vaccine development
    • Management and treatment of associated disorders in AIDS patients including palliative care
    • Patient adherence, quality of life, satisfaction
    • Consumer and patient education and health literacy programs
    • Health economics and public health policy
    • Pathophysiology of neuropsychiatric and behavioral complications of HIV/AIDS progression,  
    • Neuro-immunology and biomarkers,
    • Viral genetic variability and link to neuro outcomes, eg cognitive disorders,
    • Neuro-imaging in HIV infection,
    • Impact of HIV treatments on neuro-behavioral function,
    • Concomitant infections such as hepatitis C on CNS function,
